Your December 2025 alumni newsletter from Durham CollegeChartwells joins in on support for Food Access BursaryThanks to donations made by the Durham College (DC) community – including employees, alumni, and friends – DC's Food Access Bursary is available to assist students navigating financial challenges over the holiday season. This year, Chartwells jumped in to help by engaging with students on campus during their Connecting Through Food campaign, with a focus on raising awareness of food insecurity. Chartwells also made a matching contribution on purchases of select products sold at both the Oshawa and Whitby campuses. Today marks an extraordinary occasion – Giving Tuesday – bringing together millions of generous individuals to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. If you’re interested in contributing to the Food Access Bursary, we have an opportunity for you to double your impact. The Durham College Alumni Association is matching all donations received before January 1, up to $10,000. Meaning every dollar will have double the impact to help students in need this holiday season. Making a donation online is easy and all donations over $20 will receive a tax receipt.
