Clinical Research Tip of the Month
Get Ready for OnCore Financials In the Spring of 2023, OnCore functionality will expand to include coverage analysis in OnCore by OCRICC and managing study budgets with the OnCore Financials module, standardizing how clinical research financials will be managed at F&MCW. To start preparing F&MCW clinical research teams for this added functionality, please review the Financials FAQ and F&MCW OnCore Decision Tree (PDF) for what studies should be in OnCore and which studies require calendars. Use the Quick Reference: Advarra OnCore Financials Training (PDF) to learn what additional trainings are available (many free of charge) from Advarra University. Use of OnCore by pediatric study teams is welcomed, encouraged, and available at no cost to any MCW investigator/study staff. It is important to note that CW EPIC does not currently interface with OnCore. Consideration for expansion of
Oncore Financials workflows will be discussed with CW in the future; but would be limited without the OnCore – Epic interfaces. Study teams with protocols that involve both minors and adults and use Froedtert Health (FH) services including FH Epic and enrolling adult subjects, will be transitioned to the new standardized financials beginning in Spring 2023. Pediatric study teams with research involving adult subjects with FH services are encouraged to begin using OnCore to track these study subjects as soon as possible to eliminate the need to catch up later. Please contact Oncore@mcw.edu with any questions, or join the next Research Systems Drop-In Session, offered via WebEx the 2nd Wednesdays of the month at noon.
