After launching a raid on the al-Shifa hospital complex in Gaza last week, the Israel Defense Forces has released a video which appears to show a tunnel complex accessed from inside the hospital grounds, which the IDF claims is evidence of a command and control centre used by Hamas.
The International Criminal Court has already opened an investigation into war crimes committed since June 2014 in Gaza and the West Bank, though it has yet to be confirmed that this will include the raid on al-Shifa hospital. We asked two forensic investigators how they would go about looking for and finding evidence of hidden underground military complexes.
We also look into developmental amnesia, a condition that causes some children to forget things almost as soon as they’ve happened. And, following the violent demonstration by far-right protestors at the Cenotaph on November 11, we explore the role politicians and the police can play in enabling such activities.
