Pensions are changing. Make sure your understanding keeps pace.

The UK pensions landscape can feel complex, but having a clear understanding of the fundamentals doesn’t have to be.

The PPI’s Knowledge Sharing Seminar (KSS) provides a practical and accessible introduction to the UK pensions system, designed for those who are new to the industry, taking on trustee responsibilities, or looking to refresh and strengthen their knowledge.

Our KSS programme has been refreshed, drawing on new statistics and insights from the PPI’s research throughout the year. We’ve also introduced new topic areas, including lost pensions, consumer engagement and small pots consolidation, ensuring the seminar reflects the latest developments and issues shaping the pensions landscape.

Led by experts from the Pensions Policy Institute, the UK's leading independent authority on pensions and retirement policy, the seminar combines independent research, expert insight and interactive discussion.

Across the three modules, attendees will explore:
• How the UK pensions system has evolved and how it works today
• The role and impact of Automatic Enrolment
• State Pension policy and State Pension age
• The differences between DB, DC and CDC pension schemes
• Taxation and pension saving
• Investment and market developments
• The latest policy, legislative, regulatory developments and the key issues shaping the future of pensions

💡 Whether you’re new to pensions, stepping into a new role, or simply want to refresh your knowledge, this seminar provides a valuable opportunity to learn from the PPI’s independent expertise and gain a clearer understanding of the issues shaping the sector.

🎟️ Places are limited and seminars regularly fill up quickly. If you’re interested in attending, we encourage you to book early to avoid missing out.
