What's New?

 

NEW ONLINE SUPPORT SYSTEMATIC SEARCHING

The Library have launched a new Systematic Literature Searching course in FLO. Ideal for any researcher planning to undertake systematic searches, this resource is self-paced and: 

  • Introduces users to engaging with literature at an advanced level 
  • Provides an overview of several types of reviews, including scoping, narrative, and systematic reviews
  • Guides users through the process of searching systematically for literature, including: designing a project and comprehensive searches, collecting and managing resources, through to reporting the search methodology. 
  • If you are undertaking a systematic review, you will also find useful checklists and forms to record your decisions and progress.  

For further assistance Submit a Systematic Review Support request via Service One  or Book an online appointment with a Research Librarian.

 

SOCIAL MEDIA FOR RESEARCHERS SESSION

Do you want to use social media to promote your research and build an audience?  In this session, you will get an overview of different social media platforms and discuss how it can be used as an excellent tool for researchers to promote their research and share it with a wider audience. The session is held online on Thursday 28 July at 10.00am-11.30am. Register here >

ENDNOTE DROP IN SESSIONS RECOMMENCING NEXT MONTH

If you would like further support with EndNote, we encourage you to attend one of the drop-in sessions (in-person or online). It begins with a refresher on paraphrasing and referencing and then followed by a session on how to apply referencing and paraphrasing skills using EndNote.  The sessions are informal and designed to give you the opportunity to ask questions and to develop your skills. Sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12pm-2pm and are recommencing on 9 August 2022. Read more >

MINDFULNESS FOR ACADEMIC SUCCESS - JULY PROGRAM

 

This innovative face to face program offered by the Health, Counselling and Disability Service aims to reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus, stop procrastinating, communicate more effectively, and study more efficiently.
