Posies Flower Truck story airs on Start Up this fall!

When one enters the door at Posies HQ one never knows what new adventure will present itself! This one possibly takes the prize. 

A few months back Stephanie did a short phone interview regarding a tv show called Start Up featuring small businesses and their stories that airs on PBS. "I'm always a little hesitant to jump into something like this says Stephanie, mainly because being in front of a camera is not my thing. The thought of talking and being on a tv show is so outside my comfort zone." But with the encouragement from family and friends she said let's at least do the phone interview. Fast forward to the most hectic Mother's Day known to man when the call came that we in fact had been selected to be part of Season 11! The film crew and host would be descending upon our little Posies HQ in Oldsmar, Florida May 25 & 26, in just 2 short weeks. Holy crap, this was happening! 

Thankfully because there was no time to freak out due to the number of events we had going on, panic did not set in. What did set in was the reality that we needed to do a deep clean of everything Posies once the hectic flower holiday was behind us. We sometimes work our best under pressure, and this was no exception to that rule. We ended our last truck run on Friday, May 19th after doing 26 events in 19 days, releasing over 10,000 beautiful stems across Tampa Bay and had just 5 days to prep, game on people! 

Boy did we prep, from pressure washing the entire floor of the warehouse (yes maybe a bit aggressive), each truck, Posies, Daisy, Rosie, Rain & Sky were cleaned and reorganized. P3 (aka Crazy) missed the action as she is still in the paint shop being "Posiefied." We mean to tell you Posies HQ sparkled like never before! (Trick is can we keep it this way???) 

When the film crew arrived it was surreal as the 6'4" show host Gary Bredow came bouncing into our flower factory of fun. The production crew went right to work, the clock was ticking. Lights, sound, cameras and people moving around, chairs setup and it was time to really do this thing. "I don't know why, recalls Stephanie, for some reason I found myself excited at the opportunity and tossed the whole nervous thing to the curb. I have no idea where that came from or why, but thankfully I was able to sit in that interview chair and talk to Gary like we had been BFF's forever." Which is probably more to the credit of him and his crew who immediately made us all feel at ease. 

The show will air sometime in the Fall with interviews from Stephanie, her hubby David and daughter Madison. There's also so much fun packed in, with visits to a local beach and also showing Posies in action at one of our pop ups! We couldn't be more excited for everyone to watch this fun episode.

The Alaskan co-op partner has told us the season is running a little later and we can expect the first delivery in mid July. We won't argue with Mother Nature & the 8 Alaskan farmers. We're just excited to bring these beauties to you one more time. If you missed them last year, now is your chance!

We will carry some bunches on the truck while supplies last, however, we highly encourage pre-ordering which helps to guarantee your order. We should note that we do our best with getting the color and variation you selected at checkout, however sometimes again, Mother Nature has her way and we may have to make substitutions, though we always talk with you first if this is the case.
