FAST SELLING FEATURES

Don’t miss the opening Night Party and Film with Launnie’s Mayor Matthew Garwood serenading you over bubbles and canapes, then enjoy Past Lives, which is tipped as the “best film of 2023”.

Selling fast too is the Saturday night feature Afire! Seats for the quirky EO’s heartwarming and heart-wrenching tale of a little donkey’s wanderings across a Europe populated by farmers, football fans and French countesses are also being snapped up.

And, the Australian Premiere of the animated film, The Inventor, by the man who made The Lion King and Ratatouille is a must-see for adults and kids!

FAST SELLING SHORTS

Box office sales prove that kids and their parents love animations. Best-selling sessions are for the very young (11.30am) and young kids (1-2.30pm) at QVMAG on Saturday 2 September.

And, also not surprisingly, our Acclaimed animated shorts (5-6.30pm), featuring Oscar-nominated films is selling fast, too. If you love animations from around the world make your choices now!

And everyone loves a Tassie short story it seems. Our short film competition shorts and GRIT shorts that showcase Tasmanian stories are being snapped up, as are tickets to the FREE Inspiring Change Short Film Awards.
