Senior students host employer panel

Last month, students in Dr. Andrea Weber's senior seminar organized and hosted an alumni/employer panel for our students. This panel gave them the opportunity to ask questions of alumni and employers about landing an internship or first job. Students were also encouraged to bring their resumes to get tips on how to stand out in today’s competitive job market. If you are in the field of communication or hire communication professionals and would like to participate in a panel like this during the fall semester, please contact Rachael Daniels at rdaniels@chapman.edu.

1st Annual Senior Send Off

On May 3, the School of Communication hosted its first annual Senior Send Off event. Planned and executed by a group of students in Dr. Andrea Weber’s senior seminar, this event was an opportunity for all of our graduating seniors and faculty to celebrate all their hard work that has earned them their degree.

3rd Annual Awards Ceremony

On May 3, 2019, the School of Communication held its 3rd annual awards ceremony celebrating outstanding seniors and master’s students, honors students, and new Lambda Pi Eta inductees. This year was especially exciting as we introduced four new awards recognizing undergraduate and graduate students.

"Chapman University is an opportunity, a special place that caters to the curious. There is no right way to partake in an education at the university. The school is like a spring of water in the desert, providing resource and opportunity to those motivated enough to seek it. I am thankful for my professors, mentors, business partners and friends who contributed to a special undergraduate experience. I am filled with gratitude."

If you or your company are looking for communication graduates or students to hire both for jobs and internships, please contact Rachael Daniels at rdaniels@chapman.edu to get your position posted here and in our student newsletter.

We are constantly working to enhance our student experience through relevant and meaningful programs and events. This year our seniors organized many events and started new initiatives that have been share in these newsletters. We have seen an overwhelmingly positive response to these programs and events from our students. We want to continue these programs and introduce new ones proposed by our students that we were unable to implement this year. In order to do so we need your support.

Please consider making a gift in honor our graduating senior to the School of Communication Fund for Excellence. A gift of any amount will help us enhance our student programing and continue the work these students started.
