During this process, a total of 184 piles are being driven deep into the ground to provide structural support for the new building. Work on 157 of the piles is now complete, with the 27 needed for the hydrotherapy pool underway. The hydrotherapy pool was recently included in the project. Work on the additional piles will be finished around the end of May. The picture above shows the site where the new library, customer services zone and changing rooms for the pools will be located. The picture above shows the swimming pool area, with piles that have been cut to size, with weld plates fitted. The new library will sit on the site above, which shows the piles before they have been cut down to size. Piling is expected to be completed around the end of May. Contractors, Naylor Love, will then begin work on pouring the foundations for the facility, which will include a library, customer services, and recreation and sport centre when completed.
