Even before they graduate, UW–Madison engineers tackle real-world problems.

From Rhinelander to Trempealeau County and Cottage Grove, UW–Madison College of Engineering students and faculty have stepped-up to provide Wisconsin communities and businesses with expert information and tangible benefits — benefits that could be multiplied in the future with a new, state-of-the-art engineering building to support expanded programs and a larger pipeline of Badger engineers.

Universe in the Park
Universe in the Park (UitP) is predicated on a very simple idea: predicated on a very simple idea: the best place to start understanding astronomy is outside under dark, open sky. Events will be hosted at state parks throughout Wisconsin with UW–Madison experts giving talks, answering questions, and letting the general public view astronomical objects through one of the UitP telescopes. June events include:

  • Mirror Lake State Park – June 1
  • Blue Mound State Park – June 10
  • Kohler Andrae State Park – June 28
