LISC Boston in partnership with Citizens and The Black Economic Council of Massachusetts hosts our Annual Pitch Competition where Early and Growth Stage small businesses will pitch their business concepts and expansion strategies. From 1:00pm – 3:00pm, 9 small business owners will take the virtual stage to win up to $10,000. Come prepared to join in judging to choose an audience favorite to win $1,500.

SBS is hosting a workshop and small business consultations at The Mass. Black Expo (MBE) on “Funding your Business in the next Normal” from 3 - 4 PM on Fri., 11/19. Learn about available funding opportunities - grants and loans for minority and bipoc business owners. The Mass. Black Expo (MBE) is a one-of-a-kind annual event that will bring together Black business owners and entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and Black communities of the entire African diaspora in Massachusetts by the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts.

SBS is hosting a workshop and small business consultations at The PowerUp 4.0 Latinx Business Summit hosted by Amplify Latinx on “Funding your Business in the next Normal.” Join us to learn about available funding opportunities - grants and loans for minority and bipoc business owners. 2021 Women-Owned Restaurant Grant, Apply Today
In response to growing pressures on restaurant owners across the Commonwealth due to COVID, the Massachusetts Conference for Women and Massachusetts Restaurant Association (MRA) have announced $300,000 in new funding to support women-owned restaurants. The 2021 initiative will provide $5,000 grants to more than 60 restaurants. The grants are made possible through the support of the sponsors and attendees of the Massachusetts Conference for Women. Workshops for Restaurants & Small Business Owners, Now through Dec. 8th
The Hispanic-American Institute (HAI), with funding from the Massachusetts Office for Business Development (MOBD) and the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC), are working with a team of small business specialists and Bunker Hill Community College to offer minority-owned restaurants free, practical solutions and methods that would restore their revenue and profit margins to pre-COVID-19 levels.
