WEBINAR | UK association to Horizon Europe: an update

The UK government has announced that a financial safety net will be set up to provide funding for any successful UK applicants to the first tranche of Horizon Europe calls.

This webinar - jointly organised by Universities UK International and the UK Science and Innovation Network on 18 January 2022, 10:00 - 11:00 GMT - will provide the opportunity to hear the latest information on UK association to Horizon Europe and the financial safety net announcement.

On 10 January, the ERC announced the successful recipients of the ERC Starting Grant - over €619 million for the best ideas of young leading researchers - and the first set of grants awarded under the Horizon programme.

FUNDING | Researcher Links Challenge Grants UK-Germany Public Health Workshops

The British Council invites proposals for workshop events to be organised between UK and German academic principal investigators, with a focus on policy, impact and public health. Grants of up to £35,000 are available. Apply by 28 January 2022.

FUNDING | Wellcome Early Career Awards (all disciplines)

The Wellcome Early Career Awards from the Wellcome Trust enable researchers working on human life, health and wellbeing from the perspective of any discipline, to develop their own research identity and at the end of the Award to lead their own research group.

FUNDING | GREAT Scholarships 2022-23 open

GREAT Scholarships are available from UK universities across a variety of subjects for students from 18 countries. They are each worth a minimum of £10,000 towards tuition fees for a one-year taught postgraduate course.
