This year we welcomed a new client – Lockyer Valley Regional Council to our mix of work. We have designed a wide range of projects for them… banners, advertising, press, newsletters, posters, promotions… even their internal security cards. The brand is fresh, bright, energetic and really promotes the valley as the resilient, tight knit, relaxed community it is – and great place to live! We enjoy working on brands that are flexible yet consistent in their approach and presentation. Check our some of their branding here.

One of my favourite things is working on new logo's for someone's business – especially when it's a brand new one! Jo from Nourished For Life came to us with her vision – promoting health & happiness through kinesiology, counselling and nutrition – and were instantly excited with her about her new business. I absolutely love the outcome – from the nurturing shape to the fresh watermelon colour. We love how it's given Jo such a confidence to promote herself. One of the perks of the job is seeing the artwork you create on screen come to life through print. One of our clients Moraitis – who are the leaders in fresh produce – send us creative briefs that involve packaging, commercial display stands and promotional items for various fresh produce. This year we were able to design the graphics for their stall at the Sydney Taste Festival. The finished product looked great on screen but when we saw final set up it looked A*Mazing. Since joining Black Canvas in 2012 I’ve tried my hand at a variety of designs but coming from England, the one that brought it home for me was the work I did for White Cottage at Oakland to showcase an English style garden, café and antique dealer. Having beautiful photography to work with was an added bonus in developing a classic, sophisticated identity from logo right through to webpage, brochures stationery and advertising.
