Creative Ways to Meet Needs

As darkness approaches, cars line up along the road, waiting their turn to find a spot in front of the big screen. Sound like an iconic scene from 1958? Not quite. In our COVID-19 world, some areas have seen an unexpected revival of drive-in movies. As the number of people going to regular movie theaters has decreased due to the virus, creative entrepreneurs have been using parking lots to install “pop-up” drive-ins, satisfying a pent-up desire for safe forms of entertainment.

During challenging times, people find creative ways to meet needs and goals—ways to reassert control and find safety in a world full of uncertainty. People also look for ways to help others, making strategic gift planning important. Gift options that are right for you can be easy to identify, assess, and implement. And like a pop-up drive-in that provides a service in a unique way, you can be creative in choosing how to meet charitable goals and provide for others.

This e-newsletter explores simple gift options you may find both helpful and attractive. For more information about gift planning, please contact us. Be sure to ask for our free booklet, Strategic Giving—Simple Ways to Make an Impact.

Thank you for supporting NYU.

Plan Now, Give Later

For some, planning a gift now and completing it later is a sound, effective strategy. These types of gifts make it possible to maximize your impact at NYU, perhaps increasing the size of your gift, while retaining lifetime control of the gift property. You can shape your charitable legacy and set an important example for others.

  • Options through your will or living trust
  • Make the most of beneficiary designations
