Bucky is on Parade!

This summer, Bucky is back on parade across Madison, offering families and individuals a unique way to tour Wisconsin's capital city.

Madison visitors and residents can earn an exclusive sticker celebrating the 5-year anniversary of the public art project by using a new Bucky On Parade mobile app from Destination Madison. There will also be an all-new Bucky debuting at the 175th anniversary celebration on July 26.

Make great memories Up North
At the Kemp Natural Resources Station, located on Tomahawk Lake near Minocqua, WI, UW–Madison and visiting scientists research ecology, management, conservation and sustainable use of Wisconsin’s natural resources. You, too, can get in on the action with several free events throughout the summer.

The kids are alright
UW–Madison offers a diverse range of summertime activities for young learners from ages 5-18 designed to exercise both the mind and the body. They range from precollege course to STEM explorations to arts and music camps to sports camps, creating a campus full of fun and excitement.

UW–Madison 175th Anniversary Launch Day Celebration

Join us for a fun-filled night on the Memorial Union Terrace as we kick off a yearlong celebration of UW–Madison’s 175th anniversary (officially, a demisemiseptcentennial)! Let’s celebrate together with an evening of music, memories, and a few surprises.

    Prairies and Pollinators: An Ecological Restoration Tour
    Eau Claire area
    July 27-28

    Join Landmark Conservancy and UW-Madison Extension on July 27th & 28th on a two-day tour of a variety of prairies taking root in the Chippewa Valley. This event is open to all ages and folks interested in the succession of prairie restoration and their pollinator counterparts. The two-day tour will visit 3 prairies that are at different stages in the restoration process. Register by July 21.

    UW–Madison 175th Anniversary State Tour
    There will be anniversary celebrations throughout the state as UW–Madison celebrates 175 years of partnering with Wisconsin. Overflowing with Badger spirit and surprises galore, you won’t want to miss what’s sure to be talked about for the next 175 years! Upcoming state tour events include:

    The day-long event in Sheboygan was one stop on a statewide tour celebrating the 175-year anniversary of the University of Wisconsin and highlighting the strong ties between the community and Wisconsin’s flagship university.
