Paediatric Emergencies and Clinical Healthcare Scenarios |
Port HedlandFriday 8 March 2024 | 8.00am-5.00pmThis Rural Health West CPD workshop is a one-day workshop in paediatric emergency scenarios and skills. It will give delegates real-life examples and the opportunity to manage sick or injured children in a safe environment. The workshop content includes: - Hands-on simulation – practise common scenarios and structured care
- Short presentations by experienced paediatric emergency physicians
- Comprehensive handbook of lecture materials and practical skills
- 'Resuscitation reminders’ card for your ID badge clip
Eligibility: GP Obstetricians, ED doctors and nurses and GPs. Priority is given to those working in the local region. Cost:

EarTrain practical skills workshop | Karratha
Monday 11 March 2024 | 9.00am-4.00pmAbout the EarTrain program
EarTrain is a fully funded online training program for primary health care professionals to identify and manage otitis media and other hearing conditions in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The program is delivered across Australia by TAFE NSW and is funded by the Australian Government. EarTrain is a Closing the Gap initiative available until 30 June 2024. Practical Skills Workshop
EarTrain and the Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia (AHCWA) are running a series of 1-day workshops to provide practical skills in: - Tympanometry (under 6 months of age)
- Screening otoacoustic emissions
- Referral pathways

2024 WA Rural Health Conference
Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 March 2024 | PerthThe theme for the WA Rural Health Conference 2024 is: Elevating Care in the Outback. The conference will be an opportunity to connect with health professionals from a variety of disciplines who all play a part in delivering vital healthcare services across rural WA. By bringing together all rural health professionals under one roof, we seek to promote connection between these different perspectives, sharing insights and innovations in order to strengthen and enhance healthcare in rural WA. The HWSP Round 14 opens Monday 19 February 2024The round will be open for three weeks from Monday 19 February 2024 to 10 March 2024. The Program Guidelines have had a few minor changes. All eligibility information including the guidelines is on the Rural Health West website.
