This month is packed with exciting updates and opportunities from across the region. From the launch of spectator ticket sales for the upcoming 25m Regional Championships in Sheffield together with a competition guidance pack, to celebrating the achievements of our officials on the world stage in Singapore, there’s plenty to inspire and engage. Keeping Safe in Sport Week is running from 6th to 12th October 2025. There are job vacancies for a Swimming Coach in Durham City Aquatics and also a Head Coach in Wear Valley SC. We’re also delighted to share details of new athlete development workshops, Forums & Workshops, referee training, and coaching opportunities, alongside updates from our thriving water polo and swimming communities. This week marks Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week (6th–12th October) — an annual campaign led by the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU). The week is all about helping parents, carers, and those involved in sport create positive, supportive environments where children and young people can thrive.

The Swim England North East Region are please to make available three different Athlete Development Workshops each covering different subject areas which aim to support the development of athletes aged from 11 to 16 years from across all our aquatic disciplines
Water Polo Referee Training
The Swim England North East Region are in the process of looking to schedule Water Polo Referee Training.
Performance Sports Parenting Workshop
The workshop is aimed at parents of children aged from 13 to 16 years of age who are progressing through their respective aquatic discipline pathway at either a county, regional or national level.
