A day of making, watching and shopping with workshops, products, winning garments on display, judge's insights, event screening and more. A Garden is a Long Time A new book by Annemarie Hope-Cross and Jenny Bornholdt titled “A Garden is a Long Time" was recently launched in Wellington. It features an overview of the series of photographic works Annemarie completed since first attending workshops at Lacock Abbey’s Fox Talbot Museum in England which was followed by a period as Artist in Residence. The ethereal historic
photographic images are accompanied by and complemented by the insightful poetry and writings of Jenny in what is a wonderful collaborative effort by both. The book was also reviewed 15 July in a Saturday morning interview with Kim Hill on Radio New Zealand. Copies are currently available from Unity Books in Wellington. Art around our region It is encouraging to see
so many events, workshops and offerings in the arts calendar this month. As the population in Central grows, we are noticing an increased interest in painting and drawing workshops, more people seeking membership of arts organisations and groups, a demand for music, dance and theatre activities and a diverse offering of exhibitions and shows. It is exciting! Make sure you scroll down and take a look at everything on in August in Central Otago.
