Dear
We are very excited to let you know about some great new opportunities we have for learning in 2023. This could be a course for you or perhaps someone you work with, or even someone in your family or circle of friends.
National Professional Qualification for Early Years Leadership
We are delighted to offer the fully funded NPQ Early Years Leadership programme. You'll learn more about child development, organisational management, and how to make effective and sustainable change to develop excellence in your setting.
The closing date is 10 January 2023 for a
February 2023 start.
Email Senior Lecturer Dr Clarrie Smith for further information or find out more online.
Senior Mental Health Lead Training
This course will introduce delegates to the educational policy and practice context linked to developing whole setting mental health provision. Course delegates will learn about the principles of a whole school or college approach to mental health, which underpin the DfE learning outcomes for the role of the Senior Mental Health Lead.
The course dates are Thursday 9 March 2023, Thursday 20 April 2023 and Thursday 8 June 2023 (all 9.00am – 4.00pm).
There are also a number of optional remote workshops provided to further develop provision in
settings related to relational and restorative practices. Trauma-informed and attachment-aware theories and practices are explored, with concrete examples and evidenced-based strategies outlined.
Email Visiting Lecturer in Childhood and Education Hannah Woods for further information or find out more online.
National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination
Leeds Trinity University provides postgraduate training to professionalise the SENCo role, improve pupil outcomes, and to invest in and retain current SENCos. Our NASENCO course is highly popular with schools and SENCos and we would advise early applications due to the high demand for this course.
Email Associate Professor in SEND Bev Peartree for further information or find out more online.
In 2023 we will also be delivering courses on Certificate of Competence in Educational Training (CCET) and Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Advanced Practice in Speech Language and Communication Needs. There will be further information on our webpages in due course.
I hope these courses are of interest to you and your networks.
Wishing you every success for the year.
Best wishes
Brett Arnall
