Brisbane City Council - Chillout School Holiday Cooking Workshops

Nutrition Australia Qld hosts cooking workshops as part of Brisbane City Council's Chillout program. These cooking workshops are open to children living in the Brisbane City Council area, aged 8 - 17 years, and are $5 per participant. 

Bookings for the following September school holiday workshops will open on Tuesday 16th August at 10am and registrations must be made online via our website. All upcoming Chillout workshops are held at the Kitchen in the Garden - Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mount Coot-tha.

Logan City Council - KRANK School Holiday Cooking Workshops

Nutrition Australia Qld hosts cooking workshops as part of Logan City Council's KRANK School Holiday program. These cooking workshops are open to children living in the Logan City Council area, aged 5 - 17 years, and are $3 per participant. 

Bookings for the following September school holiday workshops will open on Monday 5th September at 9am and registrations must be made online via our website.

Nutrition Australia Qld hosts cooking workshops as part of Brisbane City Council's GOLD (Growing Older and Living Dangerously) program. These cooking workshops are open to seniors living in the Brisbane City Council area and are $5 per participant. Check out the following GOLD sessions coming up: 

Mediterranean Cooking (Seniors)
Monday 15th August 2022 10am - 11:30am
Kitchen in the Garden - Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mount Coot-tha
The Mediterranean diet is full of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, olive oil and fish. In this workshop we explore the health benefits of Mediterranean eating and sample tasty dishes for you to try at home. Springtime Salads and Sides (Seniors)
Monday 5th September 2022 10am - 11:30am
Kitchen in the Garden - Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mount Coot-tha
Spring is in the air! Explore new tastes and seasonal produce. Learn how to create delicious salads and side dishes in this hands-on cooking session where you will be the chef and consume the final product at the end of the session. Logan City Council - Active and Healthy Cooking Workshops

Nutrition Australia Qld hosts cooking workshops as part of Logan City Council's Active and Healthy program. These cooking workshops are open to people living in the Logan City Council area, aged 18 years and over, and are $3 per participant. Check out the following Active and Healthy session coming up: 

Cooking for a Healthy Heart (18 years and over)
Saturday 3rd September 2022 10am - 11:30am
Logan West Community Centre – 2 Wineglass Drive, Hillcrest
Learn practical tips to create heart healthy meals. This hands-on cooking class shows you how to make healthy food that tastes amazing. Click here for more information and to register when bookings open on Saturday 6th August at 10am. 

 

Accredited Food Safety Supervisor Courses

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), our accredited food safety supervisor courses include industry specific content and are designed with the needs of our students in mind. Our accredited food safety supervisor courses:

  • Meet the requirements of nationally recognised training
  • Prepares food safety supervisors to supervise and oversee day to day operations and to prevent and recognise food safety hazards
  • Early years, OSHC and aged care courses are specifically designed for those working with vulnerable populations

Upon completion, students achieve a statement of attainment for the following units of competency:

  • HLTFSE001: Follow basic food safety practices
  • HLTFSE007: Oversee the day to day implementation of food safety in the workplace
  • HLTFSE005: Apply and monitor food safety requirements

We provide opportunities for students to complete the course in one day at a face to face training or online. Click on the following buttons for more information on the venue, cost and to register.
