Dear
We are very excited to be welcoming back alumni this weekend to take on students for our alumni versus students sports day. There will be matches including Badminton, Football, Rugby Union and Netball. We'll share pictures and results from the day on the alumni social media channels.
In other news, last month Professor Leigh Hoath, Deputy Dean of the School of Education at Leeds Trinity University, was part of a panel discussion at the Climate Change and Understanding and Navigating Net Zero event on campus. Read more.

Human groovers return
It was brilliant to welcome back Human Movement (also known as the Human Groovers) alumni from the Class of 1983 earlier this month, led by Mark Nesti.
So many fond memories were shared and it was a chance to reminisce about the old as well as impressing them with the new sports facilities and programmes. See more pictures.

Celebrating 50 years
Congratulations to alumnus Neil Hainsworth for organising and hosting a brilliant reunion for the Class of 1973 at Horsforth Sports Club earlier this month.
Some of the attendees hadn't seen eachother since graduating! See the pictures.

Seeking technology and law opportunities
In October, final year Computer Science students attended an insight day at the Leeds office of technology business Cognizant.
They heard from a range of people at different stages in their career, enabling them to think about life after graduation.
We are looking to offer more opportunities like this, particularly in the areas of technology and law, so if you work for a business which might be interested in hosting a visit, please contact Employer Partnerships.

Featured alumni – Nigel Stewart
|
|
|
One of the highlights in October was catching up with alumnus Nigel Stewart (Sport Health and Leisure with Primary Education, 2002) who has returned to Leeds Trinity on the NASENCO (National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination) course.
Nigel has such fond memories of his studies over 20 years ago: "I absolutely loved helping Mark Lowery with his presidential campaign during my student days. I drove round campus with him hanging out the sunroof with a megaphone – I was the driver of his campaign car!"
Nigel has had a 21-year career in teaching, including five years as a Head Teacher. Recently, however, he was presented with an opportunity to return to us: "In April 2023 I was given the chance to choose where I want to study for a NASENCO qualification. My choice was obviously to return to Leeds Trinity!"
Read Nigel's alumni profile.
