2022-23 annual declarations 

All introducers must submit an annual declaration - due 30 November 2023.

Fast facts on....Annual Declarations

  • Annual declarations are mandatory for every introducer and are in addition to your registration and record-keeping obligations.
  • You must submit an annual declaration each year that you introduce chemicals into Australia for industrial use.
  • Use our guide to work out which categories apply to your introductions - you must know this to submit your annual declaration.

Did you introduce a chemical under the 'exempted' category for the first time in 2022-23?

You need to submit a post-introduction declaration for the 2022-23 registration year if you introduced one of these exempted introductions for the first time between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023:

  • polymer of low concern (PLC)
  • low concern biopolymer
  • a chemical that meets the AICIS categorisation criteria for 'very low risk' to health and the environment

AICIS has issued an infringement notice to a Melbourne business for unlawful cosmetic imports from overseas.
