Message from the Head of School

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Family Day weekend and was able to have a break from the routine during this short and busy second term.

Last week, you received an invitation to complete the annual survey. I would like to encourage all parents and guardians to participate. The survey is available in both English and Mandarin. Surveys allow us to ask everyone about their experiences with the school directly, collect valuable data, and get input on the directions being considered. This is why regular surveys with all of our community members are a fundamental part of the Active Stewardship strategy in Thriving in Possibility. Read more.

Purposeful Parenting Resources

Creating Conditions for Connection

A strong, nurturing parent-child bond is essential for a child's healthy emotional, social, and cognitive development. It provides children with a sense of security and belonging—an essential protective factor as they grow, develop, and face challenges. When parents find time to cultivate positive interactions with their children, it helps set them up for success. Read more.

Parent/Guardian Satisfaction Survey Reminder

A friendly reminder to please complete this year's Annual Parent/Guardian survey (available in English and Mandarin) by 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 6. Your feedback contributes to our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement as part of our Active Stewardship strategy. Survey findings and next steps will be shared with the community after Spring Break. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

Emergency Preparedness: Hold-and-Secure Drill on February 19

On Wednesday, February 19, we successfully conducted a Hold and Secure drill to practice our response to a potential external threat that posed no immediate danger to our school community but required increased security. During the drill, students and staff followed protocols by locking doors, securing all entry points, and staying in designated safe locations while calmly continuing their regular learning and work activities. This exercise reinforced our preparedness and commitment to maintaining a safe and focused environment during such scenarios.

In a real emergency, the School will notify you via text and email and direct you to our website for additional information and updates on student pick-up. Please take a moment to update your emergency contacts in MySchool, including who is authorized to pick up your child, and verify your contact numbers. Your cooperation helps us ensure everyone’s safety. Thank you!

Tickets are on sale for the Grade 10-12 production of Hadestown. The show takes place nightly at 7:00 pm from Thursday, March 6 to Saturday, March 8, with a Saturday matinee at 1:00 pm. Learn more about Hadestown

CHS Parents' Auxiliary

PB & Jam: Parent Pickleball Social – A Smashing Success!

What an incredible turnout for the PA’s first-ever Parent Pickleball Social! Parents from all grades came together for a fun and active afternoon! Beginners learned the fundamentals of the game, while experienced players enjoyed open play and exciting matches. To the parents coming to the February 23 session, we can’t wait to see you there. A huge thank you to our amazing event chairs, Courtney Tang and Christina Louey, for bringing this event to life!

Senior School Families Have a Blast at Trivia Night!

Over one hundred parents and students came out for the PA’s inaugural Senior School Family Trivia Night, where CHS families battled it out in an exciting trivia showdown and hit the dance floor for a night of fun! Winners of the trivia and dance contests not only earned bragging rights but also took home some fantastic prizes. None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our event chairs Sophyia Uppal, Emma McPhail, and Lisa Ferrari. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this new Senior School family event a success!

CHS Community Book Club: April 9 Meeting
