2 June 2026 Water and roading infrastructure in the city’s northwest is being upgraded to make sure these essential services continue to meet the needs of our growing communities.
Harewood Road water supply project starting early June Following initial investigations to determine the ground conditions and location of services earlier this month, our contractor is starting work on Harewood Road this week. This is a little later than originally planned while the teams finish their work on Greers Road and Morrison Avenue (read more about that below). The delayed start has allowed for more off-site planning and coordination to speed up the works, which will mean that the full project up to 410 Harewood Road will now be completed by the end of September. The work will start with replacing the sub-main in the berm between 110 and 142 Harewood Road. The footpath and road shoulder will be closed while this work is done. An updated start works notice will be distributed shortly. Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the duration of the work on Harewood Road. We’ll keep you updated with progress and traffic impacts through this newsletter and on our website. Work continues on Greers Road, Morrison AvenueOur contractor is in the final stages of work to replace water pipes on Greers Road and Morrison Avenue. Unexpected ground conditions and staff shortages have meant these two projects are running behind schedule. We apologise for any inconvenience these delays have caused and thank you for your patience.
