Figma is too good

"Figma is too good, 10x better than Sketch, it's great!"

You've surely heard this sentence many times from designers excited by the novelty and made the switch. So yes, I am one of them, and yes it is true that it is more fluid, collaborative, an all-in-one solution, and the autolayout does wonders.

Everything is so simple and practical that we could tend to automate or systematise the creation of some elements. A button is a text in a rectangle with an icon. Clean, precise and superfast to do. It's great, the sizing is dynamic, it works. But, dear fellow designer readers, let's not forget that a button can have a thousand and one shape. Tools should not direct our habits and our creativity, no matter how brilliant they are.
