Don't Forget To Book Your Tickets!

Last Friday you would have received an email inviting you to book your tickets to participate in Midsumma Pride March 2021.

If you do not have a ticket, you will NOT be permitted to enter the event site inclusive of Ian Johnson Oval (Marshalling Area), Fitzroy St (the Marching route), and Catani Gardens (for Post-Pride celebrations).

These tickets are 100% free and are something we are required to do in 2021 upon request from the Victorian Government as part of our COVIDSafe Event Plan.

You will need to enter your organisation's unique, 7 character promo code.
This can be found in the email titled "IMPORTANT: Book your tickets to Midsumma Pride March 2021"

If you can't find this promo code, please get in touch at ticketing@midsumma.org.au

Don't forget that these promo codes will expire midnight Friday 14 May, in order for us to be able to finalise numbers and coordinate the operational aspects of the event.

If you do not need all 30 tickets, please only book what you do need so that your unclaimed allocation can be given to other groups.

I understand that the requirement for ticketing is a new element of the event, but we are happy to help with any questions or concerns you may have!

Frequently Asked Questions

Someone from my group can't come anymore. Can I give their ticket to someone else?

Yes! Simply contact ticketing@midsumma.org.au with the updated names and contact details of your tickets and we will make these changes on your behalf.

I'm bringing a child/photographer/my partner, do they need a ticket?
According to Victorian Government guidelines anyone over 12 months of age is required to have a ticket. Your allocation of marchers must include any person who will be onsite at Ian Johnson Oval, Fitzroy St, or at Catani Gardens during the event.

I'm having trouble booking all the tickets and supplying the details into the ticketing system before the basket times out. Any advice?
You are able to book up to 30 tickets per transaction. If you are having issues completing the process before your basket "times out", perhaps try booking a smaller number of tickets per transaction (i.e. 3 transactions with 10 tickets per transaction).

Do I need to book the tickets for my whole group? Or do they book their own tickets?
Either option is suitable. If you are booking on behalf of your entire group you will need to have all of their contact details before you begin booking the tickets. If you instead choose to distribute the ticketing link and the promo code to your group's members then it will make the process easier for you but you might have issues if your members book the incorrect number of tickets (taking places away from other members of your group).

I don't think I'll be able to get all the information together in order to book the tickets in time. What can I do?

It is important that you get your tickets booked before the promo codes expire on midnight Friday 14 May. If you are unable to do so, please book the number of tickets you will require in placeholder names (this could be your own name - i.e. book 25 tickets under the name Matt Hirst).
Once you've done this, you can email
ticketing@midsumma.org.au with the updated names and contact details of your tickets and we will make these changes on your behalf.

We have more than 30 people who would like to participate. Will there be any additional tickets made available?
Once the promo codes expire at midnight on Friday 14 May, Midsumma Festival will be assessing the number of unclaimed tickets.
There are some organisations who additional tickets will be offered to. After this has been administered, the remaining tickets will be released for any organisation to book additional tickets on a first come first serve basis. We want as many people to participate as possible and are doing our best to ensure the process is fair for all organisations.

I've booked my tickets. What next?
You can now distribute your tickets to your contingent. They will have the name of the ticketholder on the ticket. This will allow the members of your group to arrive on the day with the ticket ready to be scanned when they enter the gates.
