HDTI presented by LISC Phoenix convenes a statewide cohort of nonprofit and mission-driven housing practitioners for a four-month program that combines weekly virtual sessions with in-person convenings. Designed for accessibility across Arizona, the program builds practical development skills while fostering meaningful relationships and collaboration across Arizona communities.

Participants build skills across key areas of housing development, including:

  • Predevelopment planning and project feasibility
  • Proforma development, financing and underwriting fundamentals
  • Zoning, land use, and permitting pathways
  • Preservation, rehabilitation, and supportive housing models
  • Community engagement and project management

Sessions are led by nationally and locally recognized subject-matter experts and practitioners, and emphasize real world application, peer learning, and structured networking. Participants leave with expanded professional networks, practical tools, and stronger connections to a statewide community advancing accessible and affordable housing in Arizona.

Learning structure includes: 10 two-hour virtual seminars and learning sessions, and four half-day afternoon in-person sessions. All virtual sessions are held on Tuesday mornings and in-person sessions are held on Tuesday afternoons. *Some exceptions apply with advance notice.
