Feedback sought on three new OARC pedestrian bridgesThree new foot and cycle bridges are being planned for the Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor. These will be located at Snell Pl, Medway St and Avondale to improve the connections between the communities on each side of the river. OARC work ramping up Development activity in the Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor regeneration area will ramp up over the next year as work begins towards the long-term vision for the area. The land will transfer from the Crown to the Council in tranches from 1 July. Transformative land use consultative group establishedA new group has been established to provide advice to the Council and Land Information New Zealand on initiatives, ideas and activities to transform the former residential red zones until the land transfers to the Council.
