Midsumma has conducted extensive planning around the site taking into consideration existing parklets and footpath trading. Event infrastructure, including marquees, oil drums, umbrellas and outdoor furniture will be set up along the street in specific locations from 3am on Sunday and has been designed to support local businesses offering food, beverages and shopfront performances. Please note that all event furniture will then be removed on Sunday from 9:30pm.
Thank you to our traders who are hosting Vicky P's visual arts and shopfront performances. You can also get into the Victoria's Pride spirit by decorating your windows and shopfronts! Some ideas to consider are paint, balloons, banners, and other rainbow themed items. Some of you have already started and it looks amazing! If you have plans for special activities, footpath trading, DJs or amplified sound systems that have not already been discussed with Midsumma for approval, please reach out to Helen on on 0493 575 654 or at precinct.coord@midsumma.org.au.
