The program provides conceptual and practical frameworks, self-reflection and group discussion, skill-building, and action steps to align with and advocate for equity throughout campus. If you haven’t already, begin by taking the Intercultural Development Inventory pre-assessment to determine your current level of cultural awareness and to help you select the best workshops for you. Next, commit to at least two workshops a year. When you have completed at least 12 hours of workshops, including the IDI pre- and post-assessment debrief, you are eligible for the Building a Community of Equity Professional Development Certificate. Summer is a great time to take a BaCE workshop. The workshop schedule is available online. Watch for workshops in the events section of this newsletter and on the WSU Vancouver events calendar, too. Stay home for five days if you test positive for COVID-19The number of COVID-19 cases in Clark County is rising again. If you are exposed to, or test positive for COVID-19, consult the WSU quarantine and isolation guidance tool. It walks you through what steps to take around quarantine, isolation and reporting based on your personal situation. This tool does not take the place of medical or legal advice. If you test positive for COVID-19, remember to stay home and away from others for five days. If you have no symptoms, or your symptoms resolve with no fever or after five days, you may return to campus, but wear a quality (surgical or KN95) mask around others for an additional five days. WSU’s COVID-19 response webpages are now static and the covid-19.info@wsu.edu email address is no longer being answered.
