People make connections between those communities to spend time with family and whānau, work, and access key services. Transport improvements, ranging from new highways to upgraded rail services, give us the opportunity to improve how we connect those communities through public transport. The Regional Services Review is your way to let Horizons Regional Council know what new regional public transport options you want to make it easier to travel across and beyond our region. We want to hear what you think by 11 September 2023. How to have your sayGo to haveyoursay.horizons.govt.nz to find our dedicated engagement page, featuring more information, maps, video, and various ways you can let Horizons know what regional public transport options you want. You can also hit reply to email your thoughts back to our Transport team. Or get a feedback form from one of Horizons' services centres or on regional bus services. Catch us at the Whanganui River MarketsOur friendly staff will be at the Whanganui River Markets on 12 August to talk about the Regional Services Review. They will also have information flyers to give away and surveys you can fill out. You're more than welcome to grab a survey, take it home, fill it out then pop it into a mail box - the postage is already paid for. We are also getting out and about to other events and are keen to talk to community groups. If you know of a group who would want to talk about options for regional public transport, please contact us by emailing transport@horizons.govt.nz or calling free phone 0508 800 800 and asking for the Transport team. |
