How to win with grace and lose with dignity. In today’s ultra-competitive world of amateur sports, too many athletes, parents, fans and even referees lose sight of the big picture. Sports are about many things. Competition. Wins and losses. Sure. But first and foremost, sports are about building character. To highlight the importance of character and drive home the importance of continuing to build a positive culture, Visit Boise created a video to remind us that we all have an important role to play. Whether that means being a good teammate, respecting a referee’s call, or never chanting inappropriate or hateful slogans at opposing teams, we can all do our part to create a welcoming, positive environment for everyone involved in the Boise sports scene. Many locals and out-of-town fans attending events in Boise will soon see this video play prior to or during Boise sporting events. Check out the video here.
