NCTRC Featured in Peas & Carrots Vodcast!

NCTRC Executive Director, Anne Richard, is featured in a recent episode of Peas & Carrots vodcast, hosted by Data Recognition Corporation (DRC). NCTRC works with DRC to deliver the examination for the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist® (CTRS®) credential. The episode is titled "Building Community" and highlights Anne's thoughts and NCTRC’s practices related to this topic. NCTRC Certification Exam

NCTRC is offering continuous testing through November 30, 2024. The exam is delivered throughout the Pearson VUE network of test centers along with live remote proctoring through OnVue.

The NCTRC Certification Exam is available to individuals who:

  • Have established Professional Eligibility with NCTRC;
  • Are CTRSs using Reexamination for Recertification;
  • Are in the Reentry period.

Annual Maintenance Reminder

Keep your CTRS certification active - go to MY NCTRC LOGIN to submit the annual maintenance application and fees.

 

NCTRC Board of Director Spotlight

Take a moment to get to know the NCTRC Board of Directors. NCTRC is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of ten individuals. The Board has seven elected CTRS members and three appointed members (Consumer Representative, Employer Representative and International Representative).

NCTRC wants to support CTRSs, recreational therapists, activity professionals, and practitioners from a variety of professions in their search for continuing education opportunities that align with the current NCTRC Job Analysis.

NCTRC Research Grant Program: Application Submissions Due October 2024

The next Research Grant Application submission deadline is October 15 at 11:59 PM ET, with funding awarded in December 2024. NCTRC Research Grant Applications will be reviewed by the NCTRC Research Committee and applicants will be notified of the decision via email. DOWNLOAD AND REVIEW THE NCTRC RESEARCH GRANT APPLICATION.

NCTRC is proud to offer this program which seeks to open new doors for current recreational therapy practitioners as well as those pursuing careers in the field.

 

Recertify and Reinvest in Yourself

Each CTRS is required to recertify every five years in order to demonstrate their continuing professional knowledge and competence. NCTRC knows how hard you worked to obtain the CTRS credential. Continue your professional journey by renewing your CTRS certification. The recertification application and fee are due by the expiration date posted at MY NCTRC LOGIN.
