VP Research creates intake email for inquiries and federal research support

Please email us if you have questions about proceeding with a proposal or receive any notifications from your funding agency concerning a stop or pause in your grant funding so we can determine how best to respond (fed2025admintransition@brown.edu).

Love Data Week 2025 is officially underway

New requirement for DOE proposals: Transparency of Foreign Connections form

Sponsored Projects has developed guidance for the Department of Energy (DOE) proposal document entitled "Transparency of Foreign Connections." Please carefully review your FOA to see if it is needed and contact your Pre-Award contact for additional support. 

Huron funding proposal attachments reminder

Please add a descriptive title for all documents uploaded to Huron. Otherwise, the document name will default to the filename, complicating the proposal review process.

Sponsored Projects - Open Office Hour - Feb. 19 @ 2pm via Zoom

This month's Open Office Hour discussion will focus on managing sponsored projects when the PI leaves the University. Representatives from all Sponsored Projects teams will join the conversation. Sign up in advance - space is limited.

Regulatory Advisory Unit: Undergraduate research process

The process for regulatory review of undergraduate research projects has been updated. Students can schedule a meeting with the regulatory advisors on the Regulatory Advisory webpage.

Annual COI cycle 2025

The annual COI cycle for faculty and researchers started on February 12, 2025. The VPR emailed instructions to anyone required to submit a COI form. Please submit your form by March 14, 2025. If you have questions or concerns, contact coi@brown.edu.
