See all the action from JulyJuly was a big month on site and you can see all the action in the timelapse video above. In the last week we've finished installing the pipework to the new plant. The next step is to pour concrete around the pipes to secure them in place. We've also begun construction of the load transfer platform (you can see this toward the end of the timelapse). This is a complex process involving multiple layers of gravel and plastic netting, built up in stages like a wedding cake until the required final level is reached. Once complete, the platform will distribute the weight of the new plant evenly across the site, providing a stable foundation.
Pond health, odour and what to expect this weekend
The pond system continues to operate well, with the recent combination of sunny days and cool temperatures supporting healthy pond conditions while helping to minimise odour. We continue to fine-tune pond flows to further improve conditions across the pond system. The additional aerators continue to support good pond health.
