Registrations open for spring and summer sampling roundsRegistrations are open until 26 August for groups to receive 1-2 eDNA kits to use during the upcoming spring and summer seasons. This month's webinarVisual storytelling: your eDNA results in context12.30 pm, Wednesday 10 August Storytelling is a powerful tool for sharing your mahi with a wider audience – be it your whānau, community, local council or potential funders. This webinar takes you through the basics of using StoryMaps, an online storytelling platform using maps, words and images. We'll also share ways you can use your "wheel of life" graphic from Wilderlab to show what species you discovered, including interactive activities you can do as a group. This webinar is for participants from our autumn sampling intake, but anyone is welcome to attend. Plan a project or interpret your data Announcing successful projectsWe received 45 proposals from groups wishing to undertake an eDNA project using up to 24 eDNA kits to explore a question about their local waterway. We will be contacting those who submitted a proposal next week with the outcome and will be publishing a list of successful projects on our website at www.epa.govt.nz/eDNA under "Get involved".
