ARTS NEWSLETTER - Dec - Jan 2012

Mere Kirimete (Merry Christmas)
Just a couple more sleeps then it’s time to see what Santa has put in our sack. Isn’t this the best time of year? For me, it's all about taking time out to be with friends and family, relaxing together in this beautiful corner of the country, outside in the fresh air and sunshine. And isn’t it terribly hard work eating all that lovely food, which is a quintessential part of a summery New Zealand Christmas?
The festive season is very special and is open to many different interpretations. Take a look at this beautiful video, which is only a few minutes long, made by the children of St Paul's Church, Auckland, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWq60oyrHVQ&
I have tried my best to find out all that’s happenings in Central over the next month or so. Make good use of the events calendar and plan some cool things to do over the holiday period, especially if you have visitors. This area has so much to be proud of and there are fantastic times to be had for all. Please feel free to forward this newsletter on to anyone else who might be interested in all that Central has to offer. I send the best wishes for Christmas and hope that your New Year is filled with much joy, happiness and love.
