Welcome to the December newsletter ⛄️

Dear

As 2021 draws to a close we wanted to thank you for your continued support. We feel very fortunate to have so many alumni and former staff who continue to give so much to the University, in so many ways. Please know how much this is valued and appreciated. We look forward to working alongside you again in the New Year.

You can view a special message from the Alumni Officer in this video message from the Alumni Office. Just so you know, the University will be closed from Friday 17 DecemberTuesday 4 January

Stay safe, have a fantastic Christmas and very best wishes for 2022.

Campus in December

I'm sure you know just how brilliant campus looks in December. We went out in the snow to capture some pictures around campus for you, so you didn't miss out!

Horsforth today

Current Level 5 Photography student Grace Fletcher recently wrote a great blog about exploring Horsforth as a Leeds Trinity student. We thought you may be interested in comparing her views and experiences to yours when you were at Leeds Trinity.

To help you with the trip down memory lane we also captured some pictures of Horsforth in December.

Back to yesteryear

A big thank you to alumnus Roger Partridge (PE 1978-82) for sharing so many wonderful pictures recently. Roger had many football pictures from his time here as well as some graduation photos.

Roger would love to hear from anyone who played in the football teams or remembers him as a student. If you'd like to get in touch with Roger, he'd love to hear from you. View Roger's photos.

Calling 2021 graduates - This time last year....

Our myFuture team is looking for stories from 2021 graduates to inspire our current final years to have the confidence to apply for opportunities and make positive steps after graduating.

The This time last year campaign asks 2021 graduates to provide a picture and quote of advice or information on what you did this time last year for your next steps as a graduate.

All participants will have a chance to win a bundle of Leeds Trinity gifts! To enter, email your short quote along with a picture of yourself to Graduate Employment Manager, Tim Feather, by Monday 31 January 2022.

Christmas single for Phil Mellen

Very best of luck to alumnus Phil Mellen (AKA Blacksheeplad) who has a Christmas single out, 'Better this Christmas', which is raising funds for Covid:aid.

Phil was ill with COVID-19 in March 2020 and this left him with long-term health issues which still hamper him today.

Knowing how COVID-19 can affect health, lifestyle and work, Phil is helping to raise some funds to support those who have been adversely affected by the pandemic. Find out more.

Featured alumni - Dalton Tulloch

Dalton Tulloch graduated from Film and Television Studies in 2018. He's currently Live Contact Delivery Coordinator for ITV Studios.

Like so many graduates, Dalton took full advantage of the placement opportunities and got a foot in the door in the industry.

"My most memorable experiences were undertaking the professional work placements during my first and second year."

In his role, Dalton provides a client-focused service in the capturing of live content and processing it for Online Video on Demand, as well as on ITV Hub and other VOD platforms.
