Leadership Team Updates

The School would like to share some updates regarding our leadership team.

After 18 years working in Advancement and Alumnae Relations, Mariangela Brutti’s final day at CHS was Monday, April 7. We are grateful for her service and wish her continued success. Please direct any advancement or alumnae-related inquiries to Kara McDonald, Deputy Head, Partnerships & Community Engagement, who will oversee the transition of responsibilities for this department.

In addition, Marc Bouvier will retire from his role as Director, Operations and IT, on April 30, after 12 years with CHS. Marc’s role is being restructured. Following full searches, positions were filled internally: Andrew Tugwell is now the Assistant Director, Operations, and Adrian Copp is the Assistant Director, IT. Both Andrew and Adrian will be supported by Karen Choi, whose new title of Director, Finance and Operations reflects broader responsibilities.

Finally, Alice Gaskell, Assistant Director, Junior School, is now on maternity leave. We are pleased to announce that Andrea Page, Teacher, Learning Resources, will start a new role in August as Interim Assistant Director.

As always, the community will be informed of all staffing changes for the 2025-2026 school year in our August back-to-school communication. Revised organization charts will be included in the 2025-2026 Parent & Student Handbook, which will be made available to the community in early June.

Save the Date! 27th Annual CHS Golf Classic

Message for Parents of Grade 12 Students

For students graduating in June 2025, there is an option for families to purchase the laptop assigned in September 2022. The cost to purchase the MacBook Air will be $450, which includes the device, charger and operating system only and does not include any school-owned programs, such as the Adobe suite or Microsoft Office.

ALL Grade 12 parents must fill out an intent to purchase form, whether they choose to purchase or not. The deadline for submission is Friday, April 18, 2025. Full details and options are described on the form.

Wishes for the Season

To all those in our community who have celebrated or will be observing special occasions and celebrations in the coming weeks—Nowruz on March 20, 2025; Eid al-Fitr from March 29-April 1, 2025; Passover, which begins on April 12, 2025; and Easter on April 20, 2025—we extend our warmest wishes to you and your family.

We recognize that this is a vibrant season filled with many diverse celebrations and observances. Whether you are celebrating one of the above-mentioned occasions or another meaningful event, we wish everyone in our community a time of happiness, reflection and connection!
