I pray that each of you had a sweet time of celebrating the birth of our Savior and reflecting on all that the Lord did during the 2022 year. As I reflect on 2022, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your friendship, support and prayers. Each of you play an integral part in furthering the mission of DBU and without your generous gifts, we would not be able to accomplish all that we do! Your dedication to the Lord and to Dallas Baptist University spurs me on in my own walk with Christ, grateful to God to have you as a part of our organization. I recently read Acts 2:25 which reads: King David said about him, "I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." I am praying that as we enter into the new year, we are reminded of the nearness of our God to us, His readiness to assist, and His protection of us. Thank you, again, for all that you do through the DBU Women's Auxiliary Board. May the Lord bless you in the coming year and may His love and bountiful grace continue to be the firm foundation for us as we serve Him together. This year we want each of you to consider how you can pray, serve, and give supporting DBU through the Women's Auxiliary Board. Here are some practical ways to become involved this spring: DBU All-University Prayer Requests DBU President, Dr. Adam Wright - Each day before daybreak, our president, Dr. Adam Wright, spends concentrated time praying for DBU, asking God for direction. Pray that the Lord will give Dr. Wright special times of discerning God’s bold plans for DBU during these early morning hours. DBU Trustees - Pray for the 40 members of DBU’s Board of Trustees as they oversee the long-range direction of the University. Praise God for these dedicated men and women who volunteer their service for the University throughout the year in addition to their own careers and responsibilities. DBU Cabinet - Pray for the 11 members of DBU’s Cabinet as they oversee DBU’s day-to-day operations. Pray for them to clearly hear God’s voice as they are required to make many decisions as each day brings new challenges.
DBU Academic Deans - Pray for our 11 academic deans as they guide faculty to provide transformative classroom experiences for our students.
PRAYER REQUESTS For the 2022-2023 year, the DBU Women's Auxiliary Board Staff, Chaplain Patty Lovvorn, and our Executive Committee are committing to pray for the needs of our members and their loved ones. Please let us know how we can pray for you by following this link: Prayer Request Form
