Congratulations to my friend and fellow Railroad Commission of Texas Commissioner Wayne Christian, on his reelection! Wayne is a dedicated public servant who has worked hard to decrease burdensome regulations and cut permitting times to allow the economic engine of our state to thrive. I look forward to working alongside Wayne to ensure Texas' energy sector continues to lead the nation.

I appreciate everyone who helped make my tour of Texas State Technical College, Abilene, such a good one. We learned about what the school is doing for workforce development and how they’re helping prepare students to fill real-world gaps in our workforce.

Great to share lunch with local leaders, including law enforcement, at the LIFT Center, which provides career training for Abilene ISD students in cybersecurity, welding, robotics, & culinary arts. Lunch was prepared by students currently in the program and was outstanding!

Great to visit the NEXT Lab. NEXT Lab is where Abilene Christian University plans to install a molten salt nuclear reactor used in medical research, water treatment, and energy development. Thanks to Doug Robison of Natura Resources, ACU President Dr. Phil Schubert, and Dr. Rusty Towell for the tour. Texas continues to lead!
