2025 LISC Phoenix Annual Breakfast & Community Awards

Announcing our Keynote Conversation

Communities thrive when people and institutions work together to create opportunity. With that in mind, we're excited to be hosting an important conversation at our Annual Breakfast & Community Awards on October 30.

Innovating Trust: Redefining Philanthropy from the Ground Up

As traditional philanthropic models face growing scrutiny, a new generation of leaders is forging bold, trust-based approaches that center community wisdom and authentic relationships. This timely panel brings together three trailblazers who are not only challenging the norms of giving—but actively redesigning them.

C.J. Eisenbarth Hager, Interim Vice President for Grants at the Episcopal Health Foundation, brings three decades of experience advancing opportunity through policy and systems change. Her work spans housing, food systems, transportation, and the built environment—all rooted in the social determinants of health.

Katia Jones, CEO of the Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona, has over 20 years of experience in development and donor relations. She now leads the foundation in efforts to embed foundational transparency and community-led solutions across the state in support of women and girls of all identities.

Ashley Hare, co-founder of RE:Frame Youth Arts Center, is a nationally recognized facilitator with creative curriculum design and production expertise. Ashley’s work reignites joy and curiosity while cultivating human-centered leadership practices.

In this moment of growing complexity and shifting expectations, this conversation will explore how philanthropy must evolve to stay relevant and responsive. Panelists will share practical strategies for building trust, navigating institutional change, and creating funding models that are accountable to the communities they serve.
