Dear Crofton House Alumnae,

On October 24, Crofton House School celebrated Falcons Under the Lights, an exciting evening honouring both our athletes and the newly upgraded Kent Field. The event brought together the CHS community to cheer on the Crofton Falcons Senior 2 field hockey team and showcase the completion of the Kent Field Lighting Project. These lights provide our students and community partners with extended access to the sports field and improved safety, particularly during the winter months which will serve generations of players to come.

This edition of the alumnae newsletter celebrates the field hockey season, which has come to play an important part in student life at CHS, with reflections from current and distinguished past field hockey players.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to welcome alumnae back onto Kent Field for a special field hockey game on Alumnae Day, June 6, 2026. We hope that you can join us for this wonderful opportunity to play or support the CHS field hockey players.

You’ll also find many ways to reconnect and give back to CHS students. We’re actively seeking work experience placements for Grade 11 and 12 students, pen pals for our Grade 1 classes, and entrepreneurial alumnae to share their stories as guest speakers.

Thank you for continuing to be part of the Crofton House story—your support enriches the experiences of today’s students and strengthens the bonds that make our community so special. In addition, mark your calendars for the exciting events and gatherings listed below.

With gratitude,

CHS Alumnae Relations

Join the Work Experience Program as an Employer

Alumnae are invited to join Crofton House School’s Work Experience Program (WEP) as employers. The program gives motivated Grade 11 and 12 students the chance to gain real-world experience, contribute meaningfully, and explore career paths. Employers benefit from fresh perspectives, skilled support, and the rewarding opportunity to mentor the next generation.

Whether placements are in-person, virtual, or hybrid, the program is designed to fit various schedules and needs (minimum of 30 hours of work required). Students are always eager to learn from the experience and expertise of alumnae. Learn more or sign-up.

Coffee with Admissions

As an alumna, Crofton House School may be one of the education options you are considering for your daughter, another family member or a friend. On Tuesday, October 28, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am, join Richard Cohee, Director, Enrolment Management & Admissions, and his team, as they lead a discussion about the admissions process (JK through Grade 12) and financial assistance for new students entering Grade 8. This session is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about admissions and financial assistance. Learn more and RSVP.

CHS Pen Pal Program

Bring a smile to a young student’s face this spring by joining our CHS Pen Pal Program. From January to May 2026, we’re inviting alumnae to exchange letters with Grade 1 students—sharing stories, encouragement, and a little Crofton House spirit between generations. Each alumna will write three letters over the course of the program, helping students experience the joy of connection through handwritten correspondence. If you are interested in participating in the Pen Pal Program, please sign up.

Alumnae Entrepreneurs Needed for ACE Event

Save the date and join us for an evening of alumnae inspiration and connection. On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, the Alumnae Career Exchange (ACE) returns to Manrell Hall for an exciting Entrepreneurs Showcase—and we need you to help make it a success! We’re looking for CHS alumnae who would like to share their business or industry with the Crofton House community. The evening includes a professional headshot booth, networking opportunities with fellow alumnae, and light refreshments and conversation. Whether you’re a founder, professional, or leader in your field, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect, inspire, and showcase your work.

Applications and nominations are open to alumnae from all years and industries. Send us an email to express your interest and reserve your spot!

Share Your Stories about the Horse Tree

The iconic Horse Tree, a beloved part of our campus for generations, has started a new chapter of its life in The Woods. Despite intensive care and intervention, the upper branches had to be removed for safety reasons. Do you have special memories of the Horse Tree at CHS? We invite you to send stories and photos to alumnae@croftonhouse.ca so we can share them with our community.
