Ingredients
10 strawberries
1 banana, peeled
1/3 cup spreadable cream cheese
20 currants Method
1. Slice off the green leafy stem of the strawberry and discard.
2. Slice off a 1cm thin slice of the bottom of the strawberry.
3. Slice off a 1cm thin slice of the banana.
4. Place the spreadable cream cheese in a small piping bag or zip lock bag and cut off the tip.
5. Place the strawberry slice on a flat surface and pipe some cream cheese on top. Place the banana slice on top and press down to stick. Pipe a little more cream cheese on top of the banana slice and place the remaining strawberry on top as a hat.
6. Pipe a small ball of cream cheese on the very tip of the strawberry hat.
7. Pipe a tiny about of cream cheese on two currants and stick them on to the banana slice as eyes.
8. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 10 strawberry santas in total.
9. Serve immediately or place in the fridge until ready to eat. Makes 10.
Ingredients
10 skewers
3 bananas, peeled
5 strawberries, stems removed
1 carrot
10 green grapes
1 tablespoon spreadable cream cheese
50 currants Method
1. Slice the bananas into 1.5cm thin slices – you will need 30 slices in total.
2. Slice the strawberries in half – you will need 10 halves in total.
3. Slice a few 0.5cm thin slices of carrot and cut into small triangles – you will need 10 small triangles in total.
4. Thread three banana slices onto a skewer, followed by a strawberry half, then a grape.
5. Place the spreadable cream cheese in a small piping bag or zip lock bag and cut off the tip.
6. Pipe a tiny amount of cream cheese on two currants and stick them onto the top banana slice as eyes on the snowman’s head.
7. Pipe a tiny amount of cream cheese on a small triangle of carrot and stick it onto the top banana slice as a nose on the snowman’s head.
8. Pipe a tiny amount of cream cheese on three more currants and stick them onto the other two banana slices as buttons on the snowman’s body.
9. Repeat with the remaining skewers and ingredients to make 10 banana snowmen in total.
10. Serve immediately or place in the fridge until ready to eat. Makes 10.
Ingredients
¼ of a cut watermelon
½ cup yoghurt
1 punnet blueberries
1 tablespoon pepitas
Method
1. Slice the watermelon into wedges, approximately 2cm thin slices. You will need 10 triangle shapes in total.
2. Cut off the watermelon rind to leave a tree trunk on each slice.
3. Place the yoghurt in a small piping bag or zip lock bag and cut off the tip.
4. Place the watermelon slices on a flat surface and pipe some yoghurt onto each one as tinsel or decorate as you wish.
5. Decorate with blueberries and pepitas as you wish.
6. Serve immediately or place in the freezer until the yoghurt is firm. Makes 10.
