Education![]() Intifar's Global Youth Initiative Intifar Chowdhury had the honour of representing Australia and Flinders University in Brussels as one of 12 young researchers selected for the Young Researchers’ Network (YRN), a three-year EU-backed initiative under the European Democracy Hub and WYDE Civic Engagement project. The first meeting brought together scholars, policymakers, and think tanks to explore youth civic and political participation. This semester, we are privileged to host Professor Aaron Fellmeth, the 2025 Fulbright Don DeBats Distinguished Chair in Politics and Public Policy. A renowned expert in international law, Professor Fellmeth brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his work in public international law, intellectual property, and international business transactions. Centre for Social Impact This month, we celebrate the achievements of two recent PhD completions, supervised by CSI Members—Dr Sahar Faghidno and Dr Winnie Agnew-Pauley—whose research addresses critical issues in food security and policing. This is Tammy’s second year, and she is hoping to swim 10 kilometres and raise $520. With the generosity of staff, she would join Thorpey’s Heroes VIP Club and raise $1,000. If this generous target is reached Tammy will swim 20 kilometres by 31 March, 2025.
