CHS Annual General Meeting
Please be reminded that the Annual General Meeting of Crofton House School will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 6:00 pm via Zoom. Today is the last day for parents and guardians to register to attend. More details are available in the communication sent to families.
Volunteer for the CHS Golf Tournament Committees
Are you a golfer? Have you attended the CHS Golf Classic and wondered how to get involved? Or do you simply love the idea of helping bring one of our community’s favourite traditions to life?
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers— particularly Senior School parents to ensure strong representation and diverse perspectives—to join the Golf Tournament Committee. As a committee member, you’ll help shape this signature CHS event. We’re also recruiting volunteers for the Wine Committee and the Silent Auction Committee.
If you enjoy collaboration, building community, and contributing to a meaningful cause, we would love to have you on board! Email golf@croftonhouse.ca to express your interest.
Coffee with Admissions
CHS families and alumnae are invited to join Richard Cohee, Director, Enrolment Management & Admissions, and his team, on Tuesday, October 28, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am in the Heritage Dining Room of the Old Residence, as they lead a discussion about the admissions process (JK through Grade 12) and financial assistance (for new students entering Grade 8). Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions, so you can leave better informed about the admissions process and financial assistance. Register here.
Volunteers Still Needed for Service Together
We’re looking for Senior School parent volunteers to work alongside our students as we assemble care packages for those in need in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside on Thursday, November 6, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
This meaningful initiative is part of our partnership with the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC). We’ll be joined by a guest speaker from the DEWC, who will share more about their important work and community impact. Come lend a hand, and let’s make a difference. Sign up here.

Emergency Preparedness: Recent Lockdown & Earthquake Drills
Over the past two weeks, we have successfully conducted two emergency drills: a lockdown drill on Friday, October 10, and an earthquake drill on Tuesday, October 14.
In the event of a real emergency, the School will notify you via text and email, directing you to our website for additional information and updates on student pick-up. Please take a moment to update your emergency contacts in MySchool, including who is authorized to pick up your child, and verify your contact numbers. Your cooperation helps us ensure everyone’s safety. Thank you!
Grab & Go Extended Hours on Wednesdays
Good news — the Grab & Go will now stay open later on Wednesdays! Students and staff can pick up breakfast items until 9:15 am, providing a bit more time to fuel up for the day ahead. |

On Friday, October 17, the Senior School welcomed 16 enthusiastic Grade 11 students from Ohtani Junior and Senior High School in Osaka, Japan. Grade 11 students Adele and Christina were Crofton House ambassadors for the day, providing translation and ensuring that the Ohtani students were supported throughout their time on campus. Hear some of their takeaways from the day.

Celebrate the Kent Field Lights & Cheer on the Crofton Falcons
Join us on Friday, October 24, at 4:00 pm in Manrell Hall for fall-themed refreshments and beverages as we celebrate the new Kent Field light installation. Afterwards, we’ll head over to the pitch to cheer on the Senior 2 field hockey team as they compete in the 2025 ISAs at 5:00 pm. All are welcome. We hope to see you there! RSVP here.
New Senior School Recreational Athletics Clubs: Registration Open Today!
We are excited to start the registration for our new Senior School recreational athletic programs for Term 2: Climbing Club, Ski & Snowboard Club, and Strength & Conditioning Club. All Senior School students received sign-up forms in their inboxes this week, with a sign-up deadline of Thursday, October 30. The registration confirmation will be shared with students on Wednesday, November 5. If there are more participants than spots in each club, a lottery system will be used to select students.

With lots of final regular season games and championship tournaments, the fall Falcons teams have enjoyed busy schedules the last two weeks! Plus, our Senior School varsity volleyball team headed to Calgary to defend their Western Canadian Independent Schools' Volleyball Championship title. Read more about recent results here.
