Distorted scents

A digital ad for perfume that showed a woman whose body shape appeared to be altered raised concerns about body image.

The Community Panel considered that the woman’s waist appeared to be very thin and disproportionate to her arms and hands. The Panel agreed that that image appeared to have been altered, and distorted her body in a way that is unrealistic and unattainable through healthy practices. The complaint was upheld.
