October Premium Up 13%

October premium reached $1.2 billion, reflecting a 13% increase over October 2023 and remaining consistent with the positive trend seen in September.

In contrast, while policy counts experienced declines in September, they rebounded in October with a 15% increase over October 2023 figures, totaling 118 thousand.

Year-to-date statistics show an overall 12% increase in premium and a 7% increase in policy count compared to the same period in 2023.

Top Coverages

Commercial Property still leads in premium with $340.8 million, despite a slight 4% decrease from October 2023. Commercial Package and Windstorm and/or/ Hail - Commercial declined by an average of 21.5% (20% and 23%, respectively).

Similar to September, Excess Commercial General Liability increased significantly, 47% over last October. Builders Risk also made premium gains with a 74% increase over October 2023. 

Policy counts went up for most coverages, with the exception of Commercial Package and Cyber Liability, which declined only slightly.
