Latest progress images from this week

Our weekly drone images show the contractors continue to make good progress removing the material from the second trickling filter.

The second pic shows the new bypass pipeline system that’s now in place between the aeration basins.

With the construction complete, the teams are commissioning the interim activated sludge plant this week. This means inspecting, testing and trouble-shooting each part of the plant, then running the process as a whole. This enables us to identify and address any issues and fine-tune the process  to ensure everything operates effectively and efficiently.

Continuous air monitoring results now online

Air quality graph for Rudd's Rd

We’ve now uploaded the data for the three continuous air monitors that we’ve set up near the Christchurch Wastewater Treatment plant. The monitors are set up at Bromley School, Marine Parade and Rudds Road.

A further three permanent monitors are being installed at Metro Place, Maces Road and Shortland Street, and we’ll publish the results of all six locations once we have a week’s worth of data.

You can view the data for the three initial locations, and an explanation about how to read the information, by clicking the button below.

We've updated the website

As we continue to collect and publish more information, the webpage we'd initially set up for the Wastewater Treatment Plant fire recovery was getting harder to navigate.

We've now created a 'mini website', with the information broken down into separate pages , so that it's much easier to find and read the information you want to access.

Check it out by clicking the link below.

The week ahead...

Next week work will continue removing the material from the second trickling filter.

We hope to receive the findings from the testing that's been undertaken on the house discolouration that some people are experiencing. As soon as we've received and considered the results, we will publish these on the website.
