A makerspace can be defined as a place in which people with shared interests can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge.  The furniture and equipment within those spaces are crucial tools to assist the user in doing the work. 

Makerspaces can be separated into three categories: digital, technical, and physical.
